Base plates are the foundations for the Alufix fixture system. Each fixture is built on a base plate approriate to the size of the component. Base plates are available in a wide range of sizes and hole pitches to suit your CMM. | ||||
| Bars are used to form the frame of the fixture. Available in different lenths, the smaller bars are solid and the bigger ones hollow to reduce weight. | ![]() |

Alufix locating elements interface with the component. A wide range including vee blocks, centres, ball joints, screw clamps, chucks, vices and spring clamps are available in a range of sizes. | ||||
| Connecting elements join base plates, bars and locating elements together. There are two main types; the first uses screws while the second uses a cam lock fastening for quick assembly. |

A
measuring fixtured mounted on a Hoverplate can be easily moved on to and
off the CMM by floating it on a cushion of air. The Hoverplate has a grid
system of holes for positioning and securing the fixture. Lifting capability
is from a few kilogrames to several tonnes. |

| Adjusting elements precisely position the locating and clamping elements. Depending on the element used they can be adjusted in one direction or up to the 6 directions shown. | ![]() |

Kits of Alufix are available in a wide rage of sizes and make-up. These provide a basic selectionof Alufix parts to be constructed. Addition Alufix parts can then be purchased as the range of applications increases. | ||||

Fix Inspect allows easy measuring of holes and studs in thin section materials. By probing the Fix Inspect hemisphere the centreline of the hole or stud can be easily determined. For steel panels magentic attachment is possible while for non ferrous a scew connection is used. |
