Thame
Engineering was
started in 1946 and became a limited
company in 1951.
Three of the
current directors were all employees in 1987 when an opportunity
arose to buy the company from it's owner.
1988 saw
a move to new premises in Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire, our
present site.
In 1999, Thame
bought HWR Spanntechnik, their German agent. The HWR owner becoming
part of the Thame board.
In 2005 the company changed it's trading name to Thame Workholding to underline the company products and business specialisation.
Thame is unique
in the UK in being the only workholding solution provider to have
it's own manufacturing resources as well as design capabilities.
Thame
employs over 40 people.
