Vario
Tec Vice Jaws allow component clamping with various depths
of grip, various end stops and various angles without the need
to change jaws.
This versatility
is achieved by using a pattern of pins which can be blown out using
an air gun. The pins protrude approx. 5mm and their positions are
accurate to +/-0.01mm. Pins that fall under the clamped surface
of the component are depressed either by hand or by offering the
component up to the vice jaws and closing the vice. The pins that
remain protruding provide both depth and endstops for the component.
The pattern of
pins allows for holding parts at 45°. Other angles can be set using
the dedicated plates that fit over the the pins. There is even a
small pivoting plate which acts like a sine bar for special angles.
A pair of rest
strips with offset holes is avalable to fit over two pins to give
2mm increments to the depth of grip.
Vario
Tec jaws are available for most popular makes of vice as well
as our own
versatile Vario Tec Vice.
